Preparing the Church for the future

Believe the Message

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? – Isaiah 53:1

I thought I’d do a series of quick thoughts based on whatever the scripture of the day was on Biblegateway. It was Isaiah 53:2,3.  I looked at the chapter and just felt that it told a story of today much as it did of the sacrifice of Christ (which is the intent of the passage.)

The original answer to this verse is “nobody” and “Israel” respectively.  The chapter deals with the rejection of the Messiah, Jesus. But in today’s end times, how would this apply?

Depends on what the the message is, but the method is going to be the same.  In fact, God has used the method of show and reveal throughout history.    It’s sort of God’s version of show and tell – only in reverse.

This verse reallyl breaks down the process God uses to get the message out and let people know what He’s doing:

  1. The message – There is a message and God is always speaking; this is crucial to understanding what he is doing and how we can be involved.
  2. Do we believe it – faith is a process of hearing, responding, believing and trusting.  We have take the whole journey.
  3. To whom is the message given – God targets His message recipients
  4. Arm of the Lord – This is the work He has in mind, the power of God revealed.

Jesus favorite saying is, “He that has ears to hear, let him hear”. The arm of the Lord is only revealed to those that have ears willing to hear what God is saying, not put words in God’s mouth.

  1. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I love how you’re dissecting and defining verses in Isaiah for these people. Thank you very much.
    God bless,
